Busy bee

Busy weekend! We registered at Target, Macy's, and Crate & Barrel. The exclusive registry party for Crate & Barrel was awesome. Free mimosas, waffles with strawberries, paninis...yum. After we made a wish list, we went to get Josh's ring. He has some serious bling!

The cool part is the shape and the "hidden" diamonds in the corners.

And because these were on my cell phone from Friday, I thought I'd share the bridemaids dresses Josh's sister Amber picked at The Wedding Shoppe. The first pic is blurry because we didn't want to get caught taking pictures of them and Amber was keeping an eye on the salesgirl but I was still scurrred.
The gold dress was the original dress, not color, that we liked but the dark red ended up being too shimmery/prom like. The black one is seriously cute and looks nothing like a typical bridesmaid dress. The lavender ruffly dress comes in a great deep scarlet color and Amber seemed to like it a lot.

This is the last dress in consideration. It also comes in a dark red and the shape is flattering on lots of girls. Amber loved this one the most. I honestly don't care what they choose I just want them to look and feel good.

Bling and decora-ting!

Josh picked up the wedding band this weekend and since we were running errands that day, I got to wear it because leaving it in the truck was obviously not an option. I love the vintage look of it. It looks gi-normous on my little kid hands. Don't worry, I might polish them for the wedding.

We also found the best rental place for linens/tables/chairs and we FINALLY agreed on colors we liked! YAHOOO! We picked this cool brown "pintuck" tablecloth and aqua napkins as the base colors. We're adding the accent colors of kelly greens and poppy red/orange and some yellows with flowers, greenery, branches, fruit, and vases. These are some photos we like for inspiration. The first one is one of our favorites and it's from a wedding in Minnesota! Good taste!
