Announcing baby Anya Olivia

Look what we did! We went and had a beautiful baby girl!

She was born on Wednesday, September 23rd at 8:07 am via c-section because the little booger was breech and refused to move!

She weighed 7.2 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Everyone agrees, she's a keeper!

And we are both so excited and proud to call her our little girl.

It's all in the details

Thanks to the amazing and talented Kelly Brown for her calming presence and awesome ability to capture the two most unphotogenic people on earth in the most brilliant way possible.

We got married!!!

Password is: alyssajosh

and the password is: 2JYU3

Thanks to everyone who gave us truly memorable photos. Our guestbook is something we treasure and we studied them for hours the next night!

One of my favorites is from my jokester friend Pillsbury and his lovely g/f Anne. Their commitment to a singular serious pose is honorable.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did. Now enjoy the photos!

Kelly Brown, our photographer, is the best photographer on earth. It's a fact.

One week until the wedding!

What has Alyssa done this week you ask? Let's see....

Lilo officially likes my mustaches on a stick...

And she's eagerly awaiting next Saturday so she can strut in her pearls on her garland leash.
She cannot contain the excitement.

I made "Reserved rocks" using rocks we've gathered from our childhood vacation spots...

I got a non cheesy decal for our "getaway car" from a Wisconsin native on Etsy...

I found disposable bamboo spoons on sale at the Wedge Co-op. Now our guests can eat their homemade oatmeal cookies with Captain Morgan poached golden raisins and apple cider ice cream with butterscotch...in style...

We found a wonderful Minnesota tree nursery that had red maple seedlings available for dirt cheap. It was unbeleafable. Ha-ha-ha?

Alyssa-1. Jordan Almonds-0.

We're printing our menu cards on recycled Brown Paper bags...

Josh is cutting the stumps for our tables this weekend...

Final hair decision:

I'm going with beachy, effortless, hippy style waves with a few side strands pinned back. That's it! No sausage curls... no prom updo... no tiaras... just my rapunzel hair in all of it's glory!

And I really love this but if I add any more crafts to my list, my brain will self destruct!

If I had a hundred wishes, I'd give them all to you

When I saw these Wish tickets , I knew I could make them myself and use them for my photobooth guestbook.

So I found the perfect font, designed the ticket, cut the sides with a rotary wheel so they tore like real tickets...and voila!

Guests can write their heartfelt wishes for us on the back and place them in the mini envelopes on the other side of the page!

And I would LOVE to take our picture with llamas. *secretly hoping runaway llamas end up at our wedding*

Closer...Closer!

This weekend, we got our marriage license and visited our venue. And that is when I decided....
GRAPE STOMP!!!!

All of my awesome bridesmaids said they'd stomp grapes with me!

We also got the thumbs up for roasting s'mores outside the tent in their firepit!

Instead of the standard candy bar, we'll have a S'more bar. I've already carved the sticks!

I also made the mustaches on a stick!

My last wedding shower happened at my aunt Mavis's home.

These two cutie pies are my cousin's kids. Brooklyn on the left and Cynthia is my "fairy girl".

And here is Brooklyn's brother Zach with Cynthia and the gorgeous bride.

Seventeen days left until we're walking down the aisle!
