Little details

I want to have fun/cute napkins because our guests will be visiting our glorious wine/beer bar frequently...it is a winery after all. I was thinking something other than the boring monogram. Besides the fact that I'm keeping my last name (either hyphenating or as a middle name) I just want something less formal. So I was thinking cute pairs or sayings... even facts about us. The shrimp, the coffee & donut, and the bread & butter are all possible ideas.

Besides our tree saplings for favors, we were thinking of sending people home with a "midnight snack" like the homemade non-pariels:

Or milk and cookies!

And these cupcakes were just too cute !

Por FAVORS!

We want to be environmentally conscious throughout our wedding planning and the actual event. I've studied Environmental Law, Josh and I love camping & the outdoors, and we're both fans of organic food and healthy living. His dad is even building a "green" home on their land in Northern Wisconsin. So we thought giving a sapling, a gift of giving back to the beauty of our planet and supplying more healthful CO2, was the best idea.

I wanted to give my bridesmaids something other than jewelry since they all have wildly different tastes. I love the mini LED chandeliers from Crate and Barrel as a filler for my mini suitcases I purchased from The Land of Nod. I'm planning on filling them with personalized gifts like perfume, slippers, tees, Wedding themed DVD's, and other sweet stuff:

The best part is the mementos Josh and I will get to keep from our own wedding! We're in love with the idea of people writing messages or advice on rocks we've already gathered from our childhood vacation spots. It would be nice to have them displayed in our home or used in a our future garden. And of course...the photobooth doubles we will get in our guestbook. These will be great to flip through right after the wedding and 20 years later!
